ABOUT US
Thai Sturgeon Farm Co., Ltd.
Founded on November 6 in 2011, Thai Sturgeon Farm Co., Ltd (TSF) is proudly based in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Our mission is to sustainably farm Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) using advanced closed recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) to produce premium meat, caviar, and value-added products for both local and international markets, with an annual black caviar capacity of up to 1,500 kg.
Our state-of-the-art RAS technology features foldable fish tanks, mechanical drum filters, bio-filters, oxygen and ozone generators, and efficient water circulation systems.
This innovative setup minimizes electricity consumption, reduces water usage, and optimizes space, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
To operate effectively, the farm requires a steady supply of fresh water at
4 m³ per hour, electricity at 380V averaging 115 kW per hour, and a sewage system with a minimum diameter of 200 mm. Through these advanced systems and careful resource management, TSF leads the way in ethical and efficient sturgeon farming in Thailand.
Advanced Closed Recirculation Aquaculture System (RAS) at Thai Sturgeon Farm
Thai Sturgeon Farm operates a cutting-edge Closed Recirculation Aquaculture System (RAS) designed for optimal sturgeon health and sustainable caviar production. This innovative system includes:
PVC and adder tanks
Mechanical drum filters
Bio-filters
Protein skimmers and injection pumps
Circulation pumps and chillers
Automatic feeders
Ozone generators and oxygen cones
Integrated pipe network
Efficient Filtration and Water Purification
At the heart of our RAS is a sophisticated filtration system that ensures crystal-clear, healthy water by:
Removing waste like feces and uneaten food through mechanical filtration (drum filters, skimmers, ozonation)
Reducing harmful bacteria via ozonation
Breaking down organic substances and converting toxic ammonium into nitrates in the bio-filter
Removing CO₂ and enriching water with oxygen
This multi-stage purification allows water to be recycled continuously without compromising quality or fish health.
Farm Layout and Water Flow
Our farm features two large rectangular tanks (11 m x 4.25 m and 9.75 m x 4.25 m) and four round tanks (Ø9.2 m) in a cooler section reserved for female sturgeon during caviar production. All tanks have bottom drains connected to a concrete sewage collector that channels waste to mechanical drum filters with 60-micron nets for thorough cleaning. Filtered water flows into two interconnected adder tanks, balancing water levels and serving as mixing and supply reservoirs. Powerful pumps move water through bio-filters for nitrogen conversion and oxygenation, then through skimmers for further purification before returning it to the fish tanks. Oxygen cones boost oxygen levels above atmospheric concentrations, ensuring optimal fish respiration.
Operational Excellence and Safety
The system is fully automated, including feeding, and designed with redundancy. In the event of pump failure, fish can be quickly relocated to alternate tanks to maintain their safety while repairs are made. The farm’s two distinct sections, main and low-temperature operate with parallel technical systems, ensuring consistent conditions tailored to each stage of the sturgeon lifecycle.

At Thai Sturgeon Farm, we use gold-plated tins to preserve the delicate taste and freshness of our caviar.
This is a choice rooted in both luxury and science. Gold is an exceptionally stable and non-reactive metal, meaning it will not oxidize, corrode, or interact with the caviar, even in the presence of salt and moisture.
This property ensures that the caviar’s flavor remains pure and untainted, unlike other metals that could impart off-notes or accelerate spoilage.

Thai Sturgeon Farm’s caviar delivers unmatched freshness thanks to local production, reaching your kitchen at its peak—unlike imported caviar that loses quality during long transit. With a lower sodium content, our caviar offers a clean, pure flavor that enhances rather than overpowers dishes, making it ideal for pairing with a wide range of ingredients.
This delicate, less salty profile gives chefs more creative freedom, allowing the caviar to complement both classic and modern cuisine. Its versatility and freshness make it the perfect choice for elevating Thai and international dishes, letting the quality of both the caviar and local produce shine.

Thai Sturgeon Farm’s caviar harvesting method differs from traditional practices by preserving the health and life of the sturgeon. Instead of killing the fish or cutting them open to remove eggs, we gently lift the fish out of the water and use specialized tools to encourage natural release of the roe for collection without harm.
This ethical approach allows multiple harvests over the fish’s lifetime, increasing sustainability and efficiency. Unlike traditional methods that end the fish’s life after a single harvest, our technique supports ongoing production while prioritizing animal welfare, ensuring premium-quality caviar produced responsibly.
